Person Pascal Berberat
Prof. Dr. med. Pascal Berberat
Prof. Berberat studied medicine in Bern (Switzerland) and Los Angeles (USA) and completed his training as a surgeon in Bern, Boston (USA) and Heidelberg. In 2007, he acquired his postdoctoral teaching qualification in Heidelberg before changing to the Klinikum rechts der Isar as a consultant surgeon. After completing a Master's degree in Medical Education (Heidelberg), he has headed the TUM Medical Education Center at the Faculty of Medicine since 2010 and was appointed to TUM’s newly established Chair of Medical Education in 2015. From 2017 to 2023, he served as Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Medicine. In October 2023, he was elected Vice Dean Academic and Student Affairs of the newly founded TUM School of Medicine and Health, and since November 2023 he also serves as Academic Program Director, Medicine. His responsibilities include program and curriculum development.

- Understanding teaching and learning processes to optimize evidence-based didactic methods
